Sorry I can't offer further assistance, someone much smarter and more experienced than myself will surely lend a hand.Nothing to see here. Honestly, after using VMware for a few years, VirtualBox just feels so very clunky to me, however I still use Hyper-V under Windows 10 every single day and I would encourage you to enable the service and try your luck with that (assuming your version of Windows supports it): This won't solve your issue, but might help isolate the problem. Sorry this isn't particularly helpful, but might I suggest you try booting your desktop PC via LiveUSB stick just to see if the issue is something with VirtualBox graphics / drivers or an issue with the PC hardware itself. I notice some small issues with scaling (for example, the login screen under KDE is barely visible), but for the most part things look okay 3840 x 2160. I didn't have any issues running Parrot 4.6 under both VMware ESXi 6.7 as well as type2 Hyper-V VMs, but after much deliberation I decided to stick with Parrot OS for full fledged mobile desktop experience on a 15" laptop with 4K display - you didn't mention what desktop environment you are using, but after bouncing back and forth between MATE and KDE Plasma, i'm mostly sticking with the latter these days. Also that I never had to do anything with Kali regarding the OS scalling properly my screen. I’m getting frustrated because Parrot is working flawlessly on my MacBook Pro, I never thought I would be spending so much time on a scaled window issue. I looked at the log and I was getting a message like « something must hang …. » at the time where the pointer become the Mickey hand and I need to do a click to get it back to normal, which is annoying. I also installed VmWare which is actually working properly with the screen resolution, however I might have a driver issue because I’m losing the pointer registration randomly. It’s like whatsoever I choosing Scaled mode or Full Screen mode, Parrot never wants to fit my screen properly and I’m getting either a 4:3 resolution, or something too big that I can’t see my whole desktop properly. I’m installing all the updates after installing the OS, I tried many resolutions and switching between full screen mode and scaled mode without any luck. However after looking at it I noticed first of all my resolution is not available ( 2560 x 1440 ), the highest I can get is 2560 x 1600 which is obviously too much for my display and therefore once I’m on full screen I cannot see the bottom desktop properly. I first thought it was finally actually working because I could get a bigger resolution than previously from the. I then tried to import the appliance image. If I try some resolutions I’m getting an error message telling me like « Cannot apply resolution ». Recently I’ve been trying Parrot OS on my MacBook Pro and really enjoying it so I decided to install it on my home desktop as well using VirtualBox. So basically, I’ve been using Kali with VirtualBox on my Win10 desktop computer without any particular issues. I’m finally posting my issue here because I’m reaching a point where I don’t really know what else to do. This highly customizable hacking oeprating system also comes with a strong community support.
